Protect Americans from Terrorist Attacks by Opposing the Confirmation of Pete Hegseth, Tulsi Gabbard, and Kash Patel

Call or email Senators Schumer and Gillibrand and leave your own message or use the following script:

In light of the recent terrorist attack in New Orleans and the rising threat of domestic terrorism in general, I want the Senator to vocally oppose the confirmations of Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense, Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence, and Kash Patel to run the FBI. We need leaders in these positions who understand how to protect Americans, both here and abroad, and desire to do so. None of these nominees meets those qualifications. Hegseth has virtually no management experience and a checkered history, Patel is focused on vengeance for Trump, and Gabbard is a Russian stooge. These people won’t protect us. They will, in fact, put us in danger. I expect the Senator to vote no. Thanks.

Say NO to the Save Act

The SAVE Act is an extreme voter suppression bill that Congress will apparently be prioritizing this session. If passed, most Americans would be unable to register to vote using their driver's license or other state-provided identification alone. The SAVE Act will especially burden young people, who would face hurdles that already-registered citizens do not face, and married women, who often change their names and will therefore no longer be able to use their birth certificates to register. The SAVE Act isn’t necessary—it’s already illegal to vote if you’re not a citizen—and it’s going to make it harder for citizens to vote. There is so much that is wrong with this bill! Read more about it from the Civic Center’s Laura Brill here.
