Urge Members of Congress to Support Ethan's Law
Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (CT-03), along with Senators Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Chris Murphy (D-CT), recently reintroduced Ethan’s Law (S.726 / H.R.1564), a bill that would mandate safe storage of firearms when minors are present. The law would set federal standards for safe gun storage, as well as give states incentives to create and implement safe gun storage laws. Ethan’s Law will help prevent unintentional shootings, suicide and even crime-related gun violence. Learn more here and here.

Guns are the leading cause of death for American children and teens and 76% of school shooters get their guns from their homes or from their relatives. There are at least 4.6 million unsecured guns in homes across the nation and eight children are shot every single day due to unsecured guns. Nearly 8 in 10 Americans support mandating that guns are stored with a lock in place. Demand access to your personal data from DOGE
"U.S. Representative Jamie Raskin is encouraging all U.S. citizens to join him this week in filing formal demands for access to their personal data obtained by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and Elon Musk.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has issued an injunction commanding DOGE to comply with citizen requests under the Freedom of Information Act. This law encompasses the Federal Privacy Act of 1974, which entitles any citizen to access personal information held in any U.S. government records system. Please find a fillable Privacy Act request form here.
Citizens need only fill out the form and mail it in to DOGE. This newly recognized federal agency, which has been systematically accessing government computer data systems, now has an obligation to respond to specific information demands from any of the 340 million U.S. citizens who exercise their legal right to defend their privacy and establish the security of their private information.

Josh Weil and Gay Valimont have been written off by most because they are running for House seats in very red districts. But who knows—there’s a lot of anger out there even among Republicans. Maybe it’s enough to boost turnout and pull off a miracle.
