Demand accountability from top Trump officials for reckless mishandling of classified military information
By now, I'm sure everyone is familiar with "Signalgate", a recent group chat on the unsecured Signal app involving 18 Trump administration officials, highly classified military attack plans, and Jeffrey Goldberg, the Editor-in-Chief of the Atlantic who was accidentally invited to the meeting. Call or email your Senators and your House rep and tell them to hold these officials accountable. Write your own script or use the following:
I'm shocked and outraged over the incompetent and careless use of a commercial app to discuss highly classified military operations by Trump administrative officials. I'm asking the Congressmember to: 1. demand the immediate resignations of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and, 2. conduct congressional investigations into whether the use of an unsecured communication app by top Trump officials violates record-keeping laws or the Espionage Act. Do not let them get away with this! Thank you.
Extra credit: Call the House Armed Services Committee (202) 225-4151 and the Senate Armed Services Committee (202) 224-3871 and say:
I’m calling to demand that an independent prosecutor investigate everyone involved in this week’s National Security breach for potential violations of laws on classified information. I also want this committee to demand Pete Hegseth’s and Michael Waltz’s resignations. What happened is a scandal that endangers all of us but especially our men and women in uniform. Make sure there are consequences. Thank you.
Protect the clean energy tax credits
Trump is trying to cover the costs of $4.5 trillion in tax breaks that will mainly go to billionaires and big corporations and has actively worked to boost his fossil fuel industry donors and undermine climate action. As we’d expect, that means the clean energy tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act are likely target as MAGA Republicans try to nail down the details on their steal-for-the-rich budget.
A recent study found repealing the IRA tax credits would drive energy prices up nearly 10% by 2029. Another suggested the repeal alone would raise household energy costs by $32 billion and kill almost 800,000 jobs. Find state-by-state stats here.
We’ve got some key players in our corner, with numerous city mayors urging leadership to protect them and 21 GOP representatives signing on to a letter opposing full repeal.

The clean energy tax credits in the Inflation Reduction Act are being targeted in the current budget negotiations to cover the costs of the Trump-Musk tax scam. Your office needs to do what they can to protect them. What’s being proposed could force electricity prices almost 10% higher over the next four years and kill 800,000 jobs. That’s a price I am not willing to pay for more giveaways to billionaires. Getting rid of the IRA tax credits is good for fossil fuel industry donors and takes money from the pockets of regular people. I am expecting you to oppose it.
